Teaching all arts in the Budo sense with the emphasis on KI – the unity of spirit mind and body.
Hello, I am interested in your dojo. I do not have much experience with martial arts other than taking a few classes off and on as a child. I am 29 years old, I work out most days, but I feel like its pointless without learning real self defense and the teachings of the body and mind. I will be moving in the area soon and I also like the traditional look and smaller atmosphere than most places. When is the best time I can stop by to introduce myself?

Sensei, I was just informed that I have an email on our website.. lol shows you how tech savvy I am. I don’t know if you heard or not although Linda has fallen asleep with the Lord. She passed yesterday (Wednesday July 19th) morning. I know you and her were friends from way back. She was a lovely person and a strong fighter. May God rest her soul.

I would like to know what you offer in training for a 13 yr.old girl. My daughter wants to learn to defend herself on the ground. We tried BJJ at a few places but there wasn’t any set structure. Just shown a quick technique then next time another quick technique she won’t remember later. Not to mention when someone came into the dojo barefooted and walk on the mat and no one said a word I knew it was time to go.
I’m looking for a curriculum that builds slowly. I don’t care if it’s just learning how to fall first, as long as there is structure to build on. Please send me the schedule, fees and etc. I would like to stop by soon.

Good morning thank you for your interest in our dojo. I would recommend that you and your daughter come in and see an actual class being taught. This way you can make a decision prior to enrolling her. We teach Judo Karate and Aikido all taught in a Budo sense. I completely agree with you as far as slowly learning even if its just to learn how to fall, most people will fall more then they will be attacked. Classes are Tuesday & Thursday
Karate 6:30 till 7:30
Aikido 7:30 till 8:45
Judo 8:45 till 9:45
The aikido and Judo offer more of the ground fighting then karate does. Like I said you are welcome to come in and view our classes. Simple contact Sensei Sammy (Chief Instructor) at 734-776-5866 and inform him of when you will be visiting. I hope this information helps.
Thank you,

Hello, I was wondering what ages you begin teaching. My son is 3 (will be 4 in June) and I feel he would benefit from a structured karate environment. Thank you.

Thank you for contact our dojo. We normally don’t start teaching kids karate until the age of 5 or 6. At that age they have been introduced to a structure class and are used to taking direction. Although children are different, some
Are ready at the age of five and some a little later. You and your son are welcome to come to one of our classes as to see how they are ran and if he would enjoy it when he reaches the appropriate age.
